operation crackdown

The article that I have chosen is about the demolition of private houses and sheds. The project is called “operation crackdown” in which the city can decide whether or not to tear down structures that seem to be an eye sore for some people. Another reason that they are tearing down these structures is that most of the houses or facilities are that are abandoned are most likely to be used as stash houses for illegal immigrants or narcotics. “Crime rates are twice as high on blocks with abandoned or open buildings than on controlled buildings blocks,” . I think that tearing down the abandon houses are somewhat a good idea. I think that the drug abuse and prostitution is a pretty good reason to tear down an eye sore. But I do thing that they should buy the property off of the owners first before they try an demolish they house.
